2023: Southwest CNPP issues disclaimer, warns Chief Segun
Osoba to beware of fake Group and Politicians
The Conference of Nigeria Political
Parties (CNPP), South West Chapter under the zonal leadership of Alh. Yinka
Olona and Deacon Samson Olalere has issued a warning and directive to the public
and His Excellency, Chief Olusegun Osoba to beware of group calling themselves
Conference of Registered Political Parties (CRPP) who send fraudulent Letter to
him in the guise of making him their Board of Trustees (BOT) member and
awarding him a yet to be known award.
This was contained in a statement issued
and signed by the Southwest Chairman and CNPP Southwest Zonal Adviser, Alh.
Yinka Olona and Deacon Samson Olalere. In the disclaimer titled “Beware of Fraudulent
CRPP”, CNPP said her letterhead was cloned, including her office address in the
said letter. It however warned His Excellency, Chief Olusegun Osoba who the
letter was directed to and other southwest political leaders to beware of
politicians whose ambition to become a sudden millionaire before 2023 is borne
out of their desire to mortgage the future of the South west region.
The statement written by South West CNPP
reads in part: “Southwest State Governors, Elected Senators and House of Reps Members,
Members of the public, particularly His Excellency, Chief Olusegun Osoba are
therefore warned and advised to disregard any letter which according to the
senders emanated from the South West office of the Conference of Nigeria
Political Parties at Akunleyan complex, 17, Old Ife Road, Opposite Green Spring
Hotel, Ibadan. This group is not known to us. It is fake and anyone who enters
into correspondence with them does so at his or her own risk.
The group finally urged members of the
public especially elected public office holders from Southwest to be cautious
of the fake group. It also warned those behind the evil act to desist from such
act as it has great consequences.
