OYO CNPP CHARGES INEC ON FREE, FAIR AND CREDIBLE ELECTIONS



The Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP), Oyo State Chapter has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC in Oyo State, to be neutral in the conduct of this Saturday general elections (Presidency and National Assembly), as any form of rigging and election maneuvering should not be encouraged by the electoral body.

This was contained in a press statement made available to newsmen in Ibadan yesterday by the Oyo State and South West Chairman of the Conference, Alhaji Yinka Olona.

Alhaji Yinka Olona commended the State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr. Mutiu Agboke for some of his voters education strategies aim at educating and informing Oyo voters on the forthcoming elections.
In order to ensure peaceful elections in Oyo state and Nigeria this Saturday, Alh. Yinka Olona advised all agencies entrusted with the responsibilities in the election to be neutral and unbiased.

Oyo CNPP urges oyo voters to vote for credible and honest candidates


OYO CNPP URGES OYO VOTERS TO VOTE FOR CREDIBLE AND HONEST CANDIDATES



The Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) under the leadership of Alh. Yinka Olona has urged the citizens of Oyo state with PVC to vote for honest, trustworthy, transparent and credible candidates come Saturday.

This was contained in a release made available to newsmen in Ibadan yesterday by Alh. YInka Olona who is also the South West Chairman of the Conference. 

According to the former governorship candidate of UNPP “Oyo State citizens should vote for credible candidates who will drive growth and development not failed promises and deceits. Oyo voters should vote for candidates who have their interests in minds and who is ready to give due and urgent attention to security of lives and property; restructuring; diversification of the economy; agriculture; power; critical infrastructure, women empowerment; youth unemployment, education, provision of good health facilities and affordable.

The current State Treasurer of the African Democratic Congress in Oyo State finally urged INEC to be a neutral umpire in the coming elections.

According to him, “we say no to rigging, over voting, election violence, ballot snatching, use of military to rig elections and other election malpractices.
