Osun NRM Chairman accuses Masilo of Boot Party of Fraud of Antiparty and Fraud

ALLEGATIONS OF IMPERSONATION, ANTI-PARTY AND FRAUD AGAINST MR GBENGA AFENI AND PRINCE ADESOJI ADELEKE (MASILO) OF THE BOOT PARTY, OSUN STATE.

The Osun State Chairman of National Rescue Movement Party in Osun State, Prince Adetona Abede has made a serious allegations against one Mr Gbenga Afeni a member and the senatorial candidate of Boot party in the February 25th national assembly election, masquerading as the National Rescue Movement (NRM) Chairman in Osun State with the active connivance of Prince Adesoji Adeleke (Masilo).

Prince Adetona Abede has also accused the said Prince Adesoji Adeleke (Masilo) the Osun State Chairman of Boot party of collecting and pocketing  the sum of one million naira given to each political parties in alliance with the then ruling APC party in Osun state during the 2022 governorship election meant for his party NRM in Osun state.

However,Prince Adesoji Adeleke (Masilo) refused to give the money to the authentic Chairman of NRM in Osun State Prince Adetona Abede despite supporting APC in the governorship election.

Prince Adetona Abede has further alleged that the Osun State Boot Party Chairman (Masilo) is known for fraudulent activities like this which has made the Boot party led by him to be considered as corrupt, and this has depreciated the value and glory of the Boot Party in Osun State with his record of anti party, electoral fraud, and political prostitution,as he was nicknamed as AGIP (Any Government In Power) because of his antecedents.

Meanwhile in order to cover up this atrocities,Prince Adesoji Adeleke (Masilo)  therefore engaged his senatorial candidate,Mr Gbenga Afeni, a card-carrying member of the Boot Party, by parading him as the Chairman of NRM, even to the extent of taking pictures with the Osun Resident Electoral Commissioner claiming that the revered REC,Mr Mutiu Agboke is aware of their scam which the Resident Electoral Commissioner is not aware of.

This act of impersonation and criminal activities of the duo of Adeleke and Afeni is against the law of the land and we therefore implored the National leadership of Boot party to wade in before it degenerates further.

The leadership of NRM has confirmed Prince Adetona Abede as the authentic Chairman of the party, and his name is in Osun state INEC record as the NRM state Chairman as at the time of writing this report. The said Gbenga Afeni is not a card-carrying member of NRM, but a member of the Boot Party where he contested as a Senatorial candidate  in the just concluded Senatorial election representing Osun East Senatorial district of the state.

Afeni has a record of anti party activities in his former party before joining Boot party in Osun state.

Prince Adetona Abede has reported the impersonation case leveled against Gbenga Afeni to the Osun State Commissioner of Police and the Director of State Security.

The allegations made by Prince Adetona Abede are serious, and they threaten the integrity of the political party system in Nigeria, particularly Osun State.

The actions of Masilo and Afeni are illegal and against the law. It is important that the authorities investigate these allegations thoroughly and take appropriate action against them if found to be true.

Impersonation is a serious crime that is punishable by law. It is illegal to assume the identity of another person or to present oneself as someone else. Gbenga Afeni's actions of parading himself as the Chairman of NRM in the state with the support of Prince Adesoji Adeleke (Masilo) needs to be investigated and dealth with accordingly.

The political party system is meant to be transparent and fair, and it is important that the integrity of the system be upheld in our country- Nigeria.

Prince Adetona Abede claimed he is receiving threats and attempts on his life because he is fighting for his rights and sanity in the political party system of Osun State. It is important that he is protected and that the authorities take appropriate measures to ensure his safety.

The political party system in Osun State should be based on merit and not on fraudulent activities or anti party activities.

The public should be aware of the actions of Masilo and Afeni, and they should not be allowed to continue their fraudulent and anti party activities.

The media should also play a role in exposing the actions of people like Masilo and Afeni and holding them accountable for their actions.

Ignore Ethnic Bias To Elect The Next President – APGA Chieftain, Deacon Olalere

IGNORE ETHNIC BIAS TO ELECT THE NEXT PRESIDENT – APGA CHIEFTAIN, DEACON OLALERE

Spheres Media

The National Vice Chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Deacon Samson Segun Olalere is opposed to tribal politics, arguing that it is one of the banes of Nigerian politics. He recently spoke with Spheres News Crew, led by Olusakin Babalola. Read excerpts of the interview below:

Spheres News: Why is APGA not fielding any candidate for the 2023 Presidential Elections?

Deacon Olalere: APGA has a Presidential Candidate for the 2023 elections. Hẹ is Prof. Peter Umeadi, a retired Chief Judge of Anambra State, now a Professor of Law at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Spheres News: Since an Igbo man is contesting the race, who will APGA supporters follow?

Deacon Olalere: APGA is supporting the Candidate who happens to be an Igbo man with a running mate from Bauchi State, Comrade Koko.

Spheres News: As a Yoruba man will you support a candidate from your race?

Deacon Olalere: I am extremely loyal to my party and my support is for my party candidate regardless of His ethnic background. What matters to me is His ability to deliver on the Party manifesto. Nigeria must ruẹse above this tribal divide that has left us where we are today.

Spheres News: What would be the redaction of your people to holding a position different from their tribe?

Deacon Olalere: What should matter to any Nigeria should be efficiency, rather than this ethnic and tribal sentiment that has kept the nation down to date.

Spheres News: Does it mean of all politicians in APGA, none is competent to contest for the presidency?

Deacon Olalere: Ironically, you have not been following the trend.

Spheres News: Would you predict the nation is not reverting to tribal politics?

Deacon Olalere: Unfortunately the tendency does not augur well for the Nation’s development, hence the need for restructuring which will usher in true Federalism and nurture healthy competition that will aid development.

Spheres News: What is your brief assessment of the three presidential candidates?

Deacon Olalere: Ironically, I see 18 Presidential Candidates. That has given Nigeria a great latitude to choose from. Narrowing our choice to the so-called three Candidates, especially by the General Media, has aided the narrow-mindedness of Nigerians.

Spheres News: People said the Ndigbo are threatening to back out of the 2023 election. Is that a reasonable decision if the threat is carried out?

Deacon Olalere: The Ndigbo are not backing out of the 2023 election. Rigorous campaigns start soon and you will see them in full participation.

Spheres News: Do you see the Labour Party equipped to field anybody for the presidency or you would recommend to APGA leadership to negotiate with Labour Party for the 2023 election?

Deacon Olalere: APGA Candidate is far better than the Labour Party Candidate who ironically was a Governor for 8 years in Anambra State under the banner of APGA, where he came to the limelight. Labour Party Candidate is operating under the shadows of APGA.

Spheres News: The last Osun gubernatorial election was a miracle. Do you see the APC defeat as justifiable?

Deacon Olalere: It is certain that the APC government has failed Nigeria and the result of the Osun Governorship election is a pointer to what to expect come 2023.

Spheres News: Do you see the call for restructuring as a panacea to all our problems like insecurity, unemployment, and equity?

Deacon Olalere: Yes, restructuring will encourage healthy competition that will positively stir the economy and development in the right direction, in line with what was witnessed in the first republic, when the western region set the record in terms of development strides under the able leadership of the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

CNPP MOURNS ALAO AKALA, SAYS IT’S A NATIONAL LOSS

The Southwest Chairman of the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP), Alhaji Yinka Olona and the current National Vice Chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Deacon Samson Olusegun Olalere have expressed condolences on the death of the former Governor of Oyo State,  Otunba Christopher Alao Akala, who passed on the 12th day of January 2022, aged 71 years.

The duo described Akala’s death as a great loss to Nigeria, Oyo State, and his place of origin, Ogbomosho. They also pointed out that the deceased discharged his duties as the Deputy Governor and Governor of Oyo State with a great measure of fairness and firmness and left some legacies he would be remembered.

According to them, It was during Akala’s tenure that CNPP was facelifted and given due recognition by any sitting governor. He appointed many members and discovered many voiceless voices.

“Akala was a man of the people who was very much concerned about their welfare and ever ready to solve problems brought to his attention.” The statement said.

The duo acknowledged the contributions of the deceased to the political community, adding that the late Governor was a big player in the political sector beyond the shores of Southwest.

CNPP finally prayed God to grant the family and associates of the deceased the fortitude to bear the loss, urging them to be consoled by the legacies of service, selflessness and excellence he left behind.
